Seattle Guitar Lessons - Fremont Guitar Studio

Hi, I'm Simon Henneman, a Seattle-based Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and guitar & electric bass teacher. I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and electric bass for over 20 years. I have performed in rock bands, country bands, jazz combos, and as a classical guitarist throughout the US at clubs and festivals including local favorites Bumbershoot and Folklife.

I began teaching guitar lessons over 14 years ago, throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Here are some of the things I have been up to lately:

The indie label vinyl release of my instrumental solo record "Black Magic & Moustache" (2011)
The self release of my solo saxophone CD "Standards" and subsequent West Coast tour(2010)

The composer in residence for the award winning modern dance company Voci, based out of Orlando FL (2007-2008)
Leading the Simon Henneman Quartet, a modern jazz group with some of the most creative players in Seattle. We will be releasing our first record October 2011
Recording records and touring the US with the cinematic surf rock band Diminished Men

I am a lifelong resident of the Pacific NW and a proud father of four amazing teenagers, one of whom is on his way to being a great guitarist! In addition to playing music and hanging out with my family, I also enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, and camping.
